Effortless manual electronic control devices
Manual pushbuttons are universall usable manual electronic control devices, for industrial applications. Because of their weak activation operation, they have their applications at work stations with frequent cyclical manual command sensing; for example, two-handed activation, acceptance switching, startup command etc. In relation to traditional push buttons, manual pushbuttons allow for essential improvements, taking into account ergonomcs, safety and rate of executing work at the place of installation. Since the activation of the manual pushbutton requires no effort, for the operator the work phase on a machine becomes a rest phase. The symptoms of fatigue because of a frequent command are essentially reduced. Furthermore, with their compact construction without mechanics, they provide a high degree of reliability, even under harsh operating conditions.
Function: Simply by effortlessly placing a hand, an electrical switching signal is activated. Thus, the manual pushbutton also responds to a hand that is protected with a fabric or leather glove, but not to metal objects of any kind, plastic, wood, leather, paper, glass or fabric. Using a combination of a magnetic and an electrical field on the activation surface, we obtain this special feature, whose intensities are defined in coordinated fashion. A hand at rest, using its specific dielectric, produces a change in the electric field from which we can obtain the wanted signal for the switching procedure. Metal parts near the activation surface energize the magnetic field so strongly that the field's oscillation breaks off and, thus, no switching procedure can be activated. Objects made of plastic, wood, leather, paper, glass or textile do not influence the fields. the electronic detection device controls an integrated relay with a potential-free change-over contact. This change-over contact is available for externally treationg the signal and, with the power supply for the manual pushbuttons (24VDC), it can be connected to a rear terminal.

Assembly:
Manual pushbuttons have a thick round aluminum casing with a front activation surface and a rear connecting terminal for the power supply and for switching output. The compact casing is designed for front assembly on control cabinets, control panels or switching cabinets. Thus, in the event there is a lower useful height, whenever possible, we stressed the low assembly height.
